Finally MSI has updated their product page and confirmed there is a new GTX 965m version (higher clocks) coming out and will refresh their GE and GS series with the refreshed chip and Skylake CPUs. Could be interesting to some that may not want to spend the extra for the 970m or don't need its power. I'm also hoping that the card can overclock the additional +135mhz and would put it very close to a stock 970m. I noticed a few new MSI 16L11 and 16GJ1 models being put out there on the interwebs by companies, but couldn't find very detailed specs. I did manage to find that they are releasing a 4k model that is expected to be around $1900 according to a few websites. MSI specs confirm there is a new 4k GE62 model.

If the price is right I may just dump this Dell even though I really like it. I can't really beat the $700 I paid for it, but I am always looking for the next toy.

Edit: Ouch just saw this thing is rocking the new GTX 965m but only has 2GB VRAM! :( Why would they do that? The GTX 960m has 4GB! That will hamstring this card for sure. I play Rainbow Six Siege on my 960m 4gb laptop and with ultra textures and mix of medium/high settings I can easily eat up 3700mb of the VRAM. I hope some other manufacturers get this card and give it 4gb of VRAM.

Edit: Appears MSI is releasing more laptops! I am willing to be these are released or shown at CES in a few days!

They're making sure it doesn't infringe to far into the 970M's territory. The limited VRAM is simply a tool for product placement.

The 965M has been hard to ship due to the cost of the chip, it was basically a no brainer to go with the 970M in many cases so it's likely cost related.

Appears there are more MSI laptops inbound! See OP for more details on new systems.

Hold on a second they are releasing a GT72 with TOBII eye control!

They did show off a demo unit at a show last year IIRC.

Also as expected as the panels are now in mass production 4k screens for the 17.3" :)
