Hey guys, cool to see there is a big community here on NR.

I bought my first 17 inch talking myself into it being optimal for gaming without a monitor. I went up from gigabyte aero 14. (And so far its pretty good for gaming! Enjoying metro exodus and apex and can see quite OK. it was an issue on 14)

Specs on MSI - gf75, 8gb ram, 1650 4gb. 256sd (thats a pretty big issue! 3 games and you're out apparently) Could uninstall some MSI/windows stuff but wish i knew how to delete more while not nuking the whole thing. I uninstalled xbox gaming on the aero and regretted it cause i couldnt record gaming and had to get ge experience)

I wish screen's blacks were better, but with brightness turned up its quite nice. I also wish I could get the higher refresh model, I was able to increase the refresh rate to 68 with CRU. (then the screen starts splitting in two horizontally) - if anyone know how to increase it beyond 68 Im all ears.

so my question was - I am interested to play cyberpunk 2077 on this laptop. I dont think 8gb is a huge issue for gaming for me now, because I always close chrome and such, do games actually hit higher than 6gb ram nowdays? I want to take the ram from the gigabyte and the additional SSD on there and put it into my msi. DDR seems the same as DDR4 2666.

any other things i should know about my first MSI? Can I increase refresh rate with something besides CRU higher, or did i find the limit? I have no idea about hotkeys or what this dragon thing does - i just set it to performance and thats it.

    thank you

16GB of RAM is pretty standard these days, and you'll probably want 16GB for best performance of Cyberpunk 2077. As for Dragon Center, I uninstalled it because it was interfering with my overclocks and really didn't offer much; you might want to do the same, especially if you plan to overclock.

Yea, dragon center felt like dead weight when it came to hardcore usage.
