I've been looking for a replacement for my laptop (a Dell 6000d). I've been really tempted by the EX625. It seems like a good deal at Newegg. The only thing that has kept me from ordering it is the vertical screen resolution. The Dell has 800 pixels, and I'm not sure I want to go smaller from that.
I saw that Newegg also has the GX720-1W1US, for $100 more than the Ex625 (after rebate), but I can't find much information on that model. There are only two reviews at Newegg, one of which complains about the screen (which would be the main reason for me to pick it over the 625). Are there any GX720 owners on here? Is there a lot of light leakage around the screen? It sounds like the 625 has good build quality. How about the 720? Does anyone know of any reviews for either model, other than the one at notebookcheck for the 625?

    Thanks,
    Andrew

I own the 1722 ID2 same as the GX720 its the red and black one, great laptop no problems at all, the screen is a matte no light bleeding at all. Highly recommended laptop. The one your looking at, the all black one, I heard bad things about them, like the screen bleed.
