GX660 chassis is also the same with GT683, do you think that the $220 price difference worth it? Does it has a major boost in games? Or should I go with GX660 and spend the $220 on accessories/ssd/hdd?

i'd go with the 2nd mainly for the second gen i5 and better screen ... would be worth it to me
-
I second that.
-
i would go with the second because futureproofing ur video card is the most important factor since, at the end, it is a gaming laptop
-
Get the new MSI with the 580M and Quad? Slightly more but probably 50% faster.
If not, your second option is the better of the two, considerably better GPU, CPU and screen. -
The GTX560m is not considerably better at all... they are in the same league and performance.
what you save going by the first choice, would be spent in upgrading the screen and something else, so might as well get the second one.
You can upgrade the CPU down the line in both of them, so that's not really a problem, but might as well get the better LCD right out of the box. -
Both GPU's are roughly the same. Some games will perform better with the Nvidia and others will perform better with the AMD.
Here is a quick comparison of the two.

does 1920x1080 really makes a difference? Is it really that beautiful?
-
Makes a difference to me. Not only do games and movies look better but it also makes text clearer and easier on the eyes.
-
but on 15.6" screen, does gaming on 1920x1080 looks better than 1600x900? Someone told me that playing on 900p on 15.6" is much better than 1080p because 1080p is meant for 17" gaming
-
Much better in what context? It's true you get better FPS by lowering your res but you also have different viewing angles and color "pop" or sharpness. This has been discussed time and time again on these forums - it's really a matter of how you intend to use your laptop and your subjectivity when it comes to the aforementioned.
-
Higher resolution = more pixels and more pixels create sharper images and sharper text. It doesn't matter what size the screen is. The general census however is that the smaller the display is, the less higher resolution is noticed by the human eye. In that regard, I can see a difference between 720 and 1080 on a 10" display so I'm positive the difference can definitely be seen on a 15" display.
The only time a lower resolution has any benefit is if your video card can't handle a certain game at 1080. However, even if you have the higher resolution display, you could always lower the resolution in the game settings. Lowering the resolution will always boost your FPS.
Please help me decide on this two!
