    So I have a msi gt780r with a failing gtx560m card

instead of replacing the card with the same outdated one, I took the opportunity to upgrade.

Bought a gtx770m of of ebay

    bought the corresponding heatsink

also bought a 180w power supply as mine was 150w

The guys from ebay sent me one from asus instead and inform me it will work for msi

    is this the case?

    Asus powersupply

So long as the tip is 5.5mm*2.5mm and the voltage is between 19 and 19.5v you are good.
