    Hi all,

I just saw the PowerPro 11:36, and seems to have an extremely good config for price. Seems like its based on an MSI barebone.......

Does anyone know how this brand is?? I've never heard of this brand of laptop, although I do know powernotebooks is a good reseller overall.

I'm also very curious about Powerpro... It's built on the MSI MS-16F2 barebone which is available on a few other sites...

I'd recommend you reach out to Donald at Powernotebooks and see if he can direct you towards any information.

It is too early for a review. At this point we only have an evaluation sample, but it is built on the same chassis as the MSI GT680R. Edit** The PowerPro R 11:36 will begin shipping next week.

There is a user review of the MSI GT680R at http://forum.notebookreview.com/msi/577372-gt680r-review.html.

The main differences are the power strip at the top of the keyboard, and the PowerPro R 11:36 doesn't have the accent lighting features.

Send me an email (in my signature below) or give me a Toll Free call at 1-877-711-1777 between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Pacific Time Monday through Friday with any questions.

    Hello Donald,
I was wondering if you offer international shipping? And also if there will be a barebone/whitebook version of MSI's GT780R? Thank you.

Yes, we ship to some countries. Are you still in Cyprus?

For International transactions we have found Bank Wire Transfer (T.T.) or Western Union Funds Transfer to be the only acceptable forms of payment. This will earn you the 3% cash discount. You would be responsible for any Customs Duties and Taxes charged by your government. We do not keep track of the Customs Duties and Taxes of the many countries to which we ship.

I cannot quote shipping cost unless I know exactly what you are buying, your complete shipping address including your Postal Code, and whether you want us to ship UPS or US Postal Service Express Mail International which would be about half the cost of UPS, but will take a few days longer to arrive. To get a quote please configure it the way you want it, click on Continue, then select your shipping method, select 3.0% "No Fees" Cash Discount, select Donald Stratton as your Sales Advisor, and state in the Special Instructions box whether you will do a Bank Wire Transfer (T.T.) or Western Union Funds Transfer and click Continue again. Now on this page enter your Billing/Shipping information and click Continue yet again. On the final page you will see what looks like an invoice, but won't have the shipping/handling and insurance cost. If it all looks right click on Finish. We will then email your specifications back to you along with your shipping/handling and insurance quote and the Bank Wire Transfer (T.T.) or Western Union Funds Transfer instructions.

No, sadly there will not be a whitebox version of the MSI GT780R.

Will there be LED lights on the surfaces where led lights were on the GT680? Also, what is written at the back/cover of the lid. Force? PowerNotebooks?

To see the lighting, which is quite different from the MSI GT680R, you can go to the Photo Gallery for the PowerPro R 11:36.

The label on the LCD cover says PowerNotebooks. If you don't like the label you can remove it and it will have a nice stealth look.

Is the battery life therefore the same for the PowerPro 11:36 as it is for the Sager NP 8130? better? worse?

That is the point...there are no orange lights. The PowerPro R 11:36 is far more stealth looking than the MSI GT680R. The PowerPro R 11:36 only has the LED lights.
