    Hey Varun.
I just realized there won't be much difference in temps because the current OEM thermal paste is nicely applied and is good. That's why you didn't see any difference in temps.

Btw, bro who did you contact from Pro-star? I think I am going to order one from them too. As you said, they charge fair shipping rates and 50$ discount + Student discount.
    I think I',ll just get the 10$ mouse :p
have heard that 6GB vRAM version is hotter, so I think I will order the same thing as yours.
I hope my UAE custom guys dont charge me anything extra

    Hey thanks for the info.
The ambient temp in my place (Khobar) is usually a lot higher compared to that of US. So i'm hoping for at least a slight reduction in temps when i get back to india.

I think you don't really have to go for any upgrade or accessory because i got the 50 USD discount even without any. I purchased ICD and requested them to upgrade it after i placed the order only because i wanted it. They then added 35 USD to the total amount.
I'll upload photos soon. I'd ordered the laptop without the secondary hdd. Upgraded to ssd myself the other day. I'm absolutely happy with my purchase. Waiting for my mouse and it's pad now! :D

    • [*]FANS - IDLE - ABSOLUTELY QUITE UNLESS YOU'RE DETERMINED TO FIND IT; - LOAD - HAVE NO IDEA WHY PEOPLE ARE CALLING IT A JET ENGINE. OBVIOUSLY YOU CAN HEAR IT IF THE SPEAKERS AREN'T REVVED UP. BUT IT'S NOT "LOUD" LOUD. MAYBE IT'S JUST ME, I ACTUALLY LIKE HOW THE FAN SOUNDS, LIKE SOME HIGH END RADIATOR BLOWER FAN GOING EASY ON YOUR EARS, IDK.
[*]SOUND QUALITY IS GOOD. NOTHING HI-FI HERE. IN MY OPINION, IT'S NOT SO GOOD WITH THE HIGHS AND LOWS. MIDS ARE PRETTY GOOD. FOR A SET OF BUILT-IN LAPTOP SPEAKERS, I'M HAPPY! YES I HAVE USED BETTER SOUNDING LAPTOPS.
[*]THE TOUCH PAD IS KIND OF CLOSER TO THE MARK AFTER THE LATEST DRIVER UPDATE. STILL GOT A LONG WAY TO GO BUT GOOD ENOUGH FOR LIGHT WINDOWS USAGE.
[*]GAMING ON THIS LAPTOP IS VERY SMOOTH. I DID NOT FEEL OR NOTICE ANY HINDRANCE EVEN AT AROUND 25 FPS (EXCLUDING MICROSOFT FSX. *Affects FSX only in the case of ground traffic. Everything else is smooth even at 25-30 fps*).
[*]I DO NOT FIND IT HOT (not even a bit! but yeah, "warm", like lukewarm?) ON MY LAP. OF COURSE I WEAR CLOTHES BUT IF I DON'T / I'M WEARING SHORT SHORTS AND IT'S ON MY BARE LAP, IT GETS REEEALLY (exaggeration!) HOT (only when running a cpu / gpu intensive program else it's absolutely cool), AFTER PROBABLY AN HOUR OR SO.
      [*]FINGERPRINT / SMUDGE MAGNET.
[*]EXCELLENT KEYBOARD. FEELS GOOD TYPING ON IT. EXCELLENT KEY TRAVEL AND RESPONSE. I HAVE NO PROBLEM RESTING MY WRISTS (my hands are of average length, 19-19.5, and width).
[*] REALLY HARD GETTING TO THE BACK OF THE MOBO.

[*]I get around 3 hours of light web surfing + trivial windows operations. Brightness at 40%. Practically I find it a bit low but it doesn't bother me much. The laptop is exceptionally beautiful, sleek and powerful.

[*]Yes, there is light bleed. You will notice it the most when dealing with dark images on screen especially when the display lid is semi closed.

But all these are not on the extreme side. I researched a lot about it before getting mine. The 044 version. I'm in complete love with my laptop. It definitely is a cute beautiful hunk.

Phew! This thread has gotten ahead of me. Sorry to all for being quiet here; available manpower for the forums has been limited, particularly with the advent and release of all the new systems released with the new 900M series. :D

To speak to a few things from 3 - 4 pages from here:

The shipping rate varies, but any difference should not be a glaring or egregious one. Your best bet for an accurate quote would be from someone in our sales team!

That usually depends on the model. Feel free to PM me or contact our sales team for that! (Not sure whether it's poor form/against forum rules to post the discount here or not).
