    Hi,

I bought a 1600MHz ram kit, the part number for it is khx1600c9s3k2/8gx
I'm just wondering if it would work properly with my GT780dxr or not ??
I did upgrade my CPU to 2720QM.

No, it will run at 1333mhz unless you flash an unlocked BIOS with XMP support to have it run at 1600mhz.

This RAM would work at 1600mhz without an unlocked BIOS.

Actually it will run at normal 1600mhz speed without any changes at all. I run it in mine and while I have unlocked the bios there is no need to.

Now I'm just downright confused. I know decapitated_chicken's and dragon's wouldn't run higher than 1333mhz without XMP support.

The ram has X.M.P profiles but the SPD is set at 1600 cl9 too anyway.
