    Hello!

I am in the market for a great 15.6 inch screen! It can be both 1600x900 and 1920x1080. I am looking for a compatible 15.6 inch screen with good viewing angles and great colors!

The resolution 1600x900 is kinda preferable, because I think games perform incredibly well at such res even though I actually like the 1920x1080 for general use hehe.

    thanks!

My vote goes for the LGD01E9 (1920x1080) in my 683DXR. It is the nicest 15.6" screen I have ever seen. The colors are deep, the blacks are black, it is bright, and all around it is a true pleasure to look at. I very seldom if ever need to move the screen up and down to improve the viewing angles, unlike every other 15.6" screen I've ever had where I could never get it positioned right.

I had this screen in a Sager 8150 that I returned due to a bad GPU. I actually considered keeping it and dealing with the GPU issues solely because of not wanting to part with the screen. I liked it that much. When I was able to get my hands on this screen again, I was so happy I couldn't stop smiling.

    Just my .02 :)

    lol :)

Ken over at Gentech may be able to provide more info than I can. After I returned my 8150 to him, I made it a point to ask him if he could tell me the hardware ID for the screen on that machine, because I forgot what it was.

After I got it, I tried to find it on the internet to no avail. Which I'm guessing is what you ran into also?

If there is anything else I can answer for you, what would you like to know?

Awesome, I know good ol' Ken, I will strike him with questions regarding the screen model! haha :D

Thanks for the suggestions, let's see what else we can find. I am mainly chaning my screen because mine has something stuck inside it, like a hair or something like that and its bugging me like crazy.

Might as well change for a much better one eh? :)
