it's me again i know i know i am a pain....
I just got this ssd and installed first on my desktop where i have 2 x25-m and i was impressed by the as ssd score (478) even more then the 2 intel... then moved it on my laptop installed windows and everything (i hade to run the installation 3 times due to some problem i had with graphic card) and i tested again my as ssd score is down to (205) and the big difference is mainly in 4k read and write that went from 28mb/s read 110mb/s write to 12mb/s read 19mb/s write
I wonder if is the laptop that doesnt have the best hardware to go the max speed or i did something wrong... this weekend i may unplug it and bring it back on the desktop to run a test but i was wondering if any of you have ever had this problem
very different performance from laptop to dektop

my mistake i checked the spec of the laptop and i noticed the SATA is SATA I not SATA-II
a little lame having SATA-I nowday.... but it wont make that much of a difference i just though SATA-II was the standard nowday. -
wondering around i think maybe i should try to bench again once i put the latpot on max performance later i will try and see if there is any difference

good luck on that. Report the results here. Maybe someday I'll venture into SSD era

I tryed again with high performace result are still low then i donwloaded ATTO bench that is suggested by OCZ and result are very different more in line with specification even if still a little low on the 4kb. (20%-30% less then people on dekstop SATA-II)
but i found out that OCZ vertex2 that use Duradess technology actually lower the speed when usage is out of "standard" and as i reinstalled W7 at least 4 time and installed a game of 25gb it may be over my weekly quota forcing the firmware to slow down to avoid excessive wear-out
this will automatically will be back normal in 1 week if the usage% is back to normal.
As it stand i stopped benching it (it actually increse the wearout quite a bit) and will enjoy it for a couple of week before bench it again.
So far my W7 turn on pretty fast so i honestly dont complain. i will keep it posted later on.
