    Hi all

Long time member , however have not posted in a while, in fact I think I have gone through a few laptops since my last post ha. The MSI GT780 DX is just a few days old for me - so far so good.

To the point (I did do a search don't see any info on Skype and this model).

I have read some (not all 500 pages) of the GT780 Lounge (some great info in there) and realize the Web Cam needs software to support HD. I thought the latest version of Skype did support HD - but I will have to look.

I just made a call and there was some latency (ala Max Headroom for quick motion) - I don't believe it is my Interenet as I am getting almost 1mb upload and 12-14mb download.

I do have a Logitech HD camera that I will give a try just to see of that is the issue. The person I was calling was just using their new Dell XPS 17" web cam and there was no issues with latency on their end (thus me assuming it's on my end).

Just curious if anyone has used this MSI model for Skype calls and how was the Video ?

Well I threw on a Logitech HD camera (USB) the latency was really no better in Skype or Yahoo for that matter - maybe can't blame the Laptop yet. It could be low lighting or some registry setting throtlling the Video (or a competing piece of software) can't believe it's my wireless as I just did a speed test 0.87 up and 13 down (mb) so those speeds seem like they should be more than sufficent ..........
