I'm not sure what you mean.

Here's one example of actual benchmarks, though - Vantage GPU Scores at stock clocks:
    HD 5850: ~7k
    HD 5870: ~7.7k
    10% difference.

I wish I had every laptop in the world...
To think I was glad I was getting 5k in 3dmark06 with my 8600mGT lawl..

    Well...
I still have a week or so to save $150... its not that hard, given that I'm an engineer... I just payed this month's master's degree bill so, I'm short (not out) of cash ...

Still, I think I'm gonna go with the GX740.
But, if by any means, ANY sort of emergency comes, and I MUST spend money... I'll get the GX640...

They're both powerful machines, I'd be happy with either one ...

Yeah there both great (And wow 5k in 06 on an 86mgt?? your a mad man...i think.)

But yeah the 640 and 740 are very close, i mean if i had it my way, i'd have the old cooling system of the gt725, paired with a 5850 paired with a q9200 or qx9300 (yep i series are out) but dam even with a qx9300 the 725 had great temps, and im gaming with temps of 55C on my q9000 right now.
