I recently had to replace my dead GTX 670M card in my MSI 1762 whitebook with a GTX 770M. But right now it and the integrated Intel Graphics core don't work and my computer looks like MS-DOS.

I when I installed the new card, the computer booted just fine and detected the card. But for some reason, the Intel Graphics driver no longer worked. Excluding the Windows 7 boot animation, everything looked like 16 bit MS-DOS. Otherwise, everything else works just fine so long as it doesn't require a graphics processor. I.E music, word processing, web surfing, ect.

I figured I needed a newer BIOS. Looking around online I found a post from TechInferno which stated I would need a new BIOS and EC Firmware: Getting a 770M to work in a Medion Erazer X7817 (MS-1762), need a suitable BIOS!.
So, using the MSIHQ Flashing Tool, I flashed the linked BIOS (E1762IMS.30P) and installed the firmware (1762EMS2.503). But everything still looks like MS-DOS. Neither the Intel or Nvidia graphics drivers will install properly.

At this point, I believe I've flashed the wrong/incompatible BIOS and/or Firmware. By some miracle the notebook hasn't caught fire and died yet so something's working to say the least. I'm out of ideas at this point and I use the computer for work and school. If anyone can link a compatible BIOS and firmware, or tell me how to fix my problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Forgot to include system specs

    CPU: Intel i7-3840QM Ivybridge 2.80GHz

    RAM: 32GB 1600MHz

    GPU: Nvidia GTX 770M

    Former BIOS: E1762IG6.30S

    Current BIOS: E1762IMS.30P

    Current Firmware: 1762EMS2.503

Have you got your issue sorted out?? If not I have a few questions that may help in getting you sorted out.

What type of 770m did you get?? Also, have you flashed the MSI 770m vBIOS to the card??

With the 30P Bios has the most graphiccards problems. Take the 51x Beta Bios & T24 EC Firmware, than works the GTX770M perfect.

i´ve uploaded it for you here: Zippyshare.com

I think it's against the rules to reply this late but feel obligated.

Sorry for the late response, I've been tied up with finals and last minute holiday related things.

Many thanks to Inches for pointing me in the right direction. The VBIOS is one of the reasons I couldn't get my graphics card to work.

Huge thanks to iTzZent for linking me to the correct BIOS and firmware.

If anyone else reads this in the future, based on what I could gather, the E1762IMS.30P BIOS is for Windows 8.1 only and the GTX 780. My thanks to Meaker for this info!
