I purchased my msi 1029 (soon to arrive) from rawpowerpc.com

I would recommend them because they have good prices and excellent customer support.. It has been a pleasure dealing with them.

unfortunately I think i will limit myself to namebrands only because I don't want to have to deal with mom& pop places for warranties, etc. thanks though for that site.

There aren't really any "name brand" resellers that offer the MS-1029. The closest you'll get is

    www.abspc.com - Mayhem G3 Eclipse
    www.voodoopc.com - Envy a:538

You will, of course, pay a premium (a huge one over at Voodoo).

Well, by defiinition this kind of computers are only sold by smaller shops.
If I could buy from one of these shops, I'd do it in a hearbeat. I've heard excellent things about having a more personal service and the fact that you can actually talk to the guy that will build your computer.

    Shagrath:

He said he wanted a larger reseller for his peace of mind for the MS-1029...that's exactly what I gave him. What part don't you understand?

no i meant as in because MSI isn't a large brand, I need the peace of mind and therefore am looking at the HP 4000 or dell 6000D either of which refurbished or whatever to get what i want for the price i want.

I really wouldn't call MSI a "small brand" as they are one the largest and most well respected component manufacturers, right up there with Asus. Truth be told, you'll find MSI motherboards and VGA cards (among other components) in a lot of high end systems ASSEMBLED by these so called large companies.

i second this .... not because i am a proud owner of an MSI-1029 or anything like that... ;) lol

    *me talking to my laptop*
"He, didn't call you small-branded baby... don't get sad...he doesn't know what he's talking about...come to daddy... lets do some photoediting and internet browser... you see... you'r the best" ....LMAO !!!

Please note that the Envy a:538 isn't the MS-1029 although it is a Turion w/ X700

I don't believe Vigorgaming would appreciate you using their Flash artwork in your ebay listing, do you?
