Newegg.ca has the MSI GT627-216US, but it does not sell the 218US version.(the one with the 9cell battery, bluray drive, higher res screen etc)

It should cost about 1400 Canadian...but I cannot find any place that sells it in canada or ships it to canada?

    Any suggestions?

Nobody in Canada will sell it (maybe you could check on ebay.ca, I think there were some people in the US selling and shipping it to Canada) as it's, as specified in the last part of the name, for the United States.

BUT, you can buy, on some Canadian sites, the Canadian version which is somehow similar : the GT627-217CA
    http://www.shopbot.ca/pp-msi-gt627-217ca-msi-price-174281.html

It features almost the same laptop, but with a 5400 RPM hd (but 500gb instead of 320 gb), a better processor (P9500), the same card, the same screen, but without Blu-Ray drive (I think).

Yeah the Canadian version is as close as you'll get in Canada. It has better parts except for the Blu Ray basically and it doesn't cost that much more.

Well Newegg sell the 216 for 1200$, if I remember well, the 218 was 1400$. And the Canadian version is 1600$

All of them + taxes and shipping

the 318 capped near 1500$ IIRC with shipping and taxes while the Canadian started at 1550$. Considering the Canadian version has a higher end CPU, the same resolution, and a 500Gb HDD that's not too bad a trade for 100-200$.

So you said 1500$ tax and shipping included for the 218US

    217CA strating at 1550$ + tax(195$) + shipping 50$ = 1800$

1800$ is pretty high, for me

Depends where you get it, but yes, I'm not denying the 217CA is higher in price.

If you look out for offers though you can either get cheaper taxes(like 5%) and free shipping.

But this is off-topic as the OP is interested in the 218US, not the 217CA.

Yeah, I know, I bought it there about two days before it became deactivated. But newegg.ca is California-based, and was the sole 218US seller for Canadians. But that's pretty much about it, they don't sell it anymore to Canadians. Hence the "Nobody in Canada will sell it"... especially when the thread started specified that it wasn't in saly on newegg anymore.
