Do not buy the MSI GS65 I literally am waiting over a month now for my laptop after sending it to get repaired through the RMA process after being walked through and assured by a support rep that my damage would be fixed. The story gets worse after they received it they tell me the damage is not covered by my 1 year warranty or 3 month extended warranty because I didn’t register my laptop within the first 30 days of purchase! After emailing the RMA rep about my situation a Ms. Cecelia she completely ignored my email for over a week! I had to call the RMA department to find out what was happening with my 2,000$ laptop. It gets worse ! I get an email after finally telling them to just send my laptop back from a Mr Tom Ho that they need to verify my address???? Completely sketchy af and truly mind boggling as they have all my information including where I live. After emIling Mr. Tom my appropriate address he tells me he will email me my shipping and tracking information. It’s been another week and still nothing mind you I asked for 2 day shipping back to me and I was told that would be fine because I one day shipped it to the RMA department to speed up the repair I never got. Now I’m going to every forum I can to tell my story because it’s been over a month and I still don’t have my laptop and don’t have any information on where it is......DO NOT BUY FROM MSI YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED it gets worse the RMA survey to leave feedback on the RMA process EXPIRED BEFORE I CAN LEAVE THEM ANHORRIBLE REVIEW WHICH THEY DESERVE

Sorry to hear that, Danny. But to clarify on the warranty issues, if the machine is physically damaged then you are actually responsible for the repair cost.
MSI has a promotion that if you register your system within 30 days of purchase then they would give you a 1-year ADC warranty for free but if they will not give it to you if you missed the window to register it.

Here's the warranty terms and conditions for your reference.

One thing though, you can request to talk to a supervisor and see if you can get discounts off your repair and sometimes this works. :)

This would have been wonderful information to know BEFORE I sent my laptop over to RMA under the false impression by an MSI support representative that my repair was covered and a 33$ one day shipping was paid to expedite the process no excuse for this decietefulness

Seems like there were miscommunications, and this registration is also enclosed in the box when you first openen it up.
Anyhow, what happened has already happened, did you receive the unit back after the repair? And is it working as it's supposed to?

Don't blame MSI if you damaged your laptop! We will continue to buy MSI as they are the best in terms of hardware, quality, driver updates, although their customer service may not be the greatest, that's why when you buy from a reputable reseller like HIDevolution or GenTech PC they have your back in bad situations but offcourse not if you have done physical damage to your laptop.

MSI or any reseller are not in the business of covering up people's mistakes and giving stuff for free. There is no one to blame but you. Sorry.

The MSI Agent you speak of probably didn't know that you physically damaged the laptop and thus is not at fault. Had you had told him the entire truth, he would have probably asked you to send it in for them to give you a quotation to repair what "you" have damaged. The fact that you didn't register for accidental damage is not anyone's fault but yours. You must have asked about all these things when purchasing a laptop.
