Bought an MSI GT72 1445 stock with white glove protection and free shipping, waited a little to get shipped but nothing too bad. I understood that they have a long shipping process. Finally received my machine only to find that the screen was not working correctly, the screen bleeding was atrocious, you could see it even in colored pictures, and when booting the screen would sometimes glitch out. Without a second thought I immediately asked for a refund, and it was then I realized just how much money I would lose because of this.
    $25 for shipping
$39 for White glove protection (I do blame myself for not reading the print beforehand.)
    $20 for shipping it back
*I did send it back in emacuate condition including everything and before 15 days, so I hope I dont get slapped with a 15% restocking fee.

It is slightly infuriating that I have to be the one losing money when it was not my fault; it was MSI fault that I recieved a defective machine.

I come with another warning-seems to be a common thing in these forums- do not buy from Xotic PC unless you genuinely need a custom laptop and cannot do the upgrade yourself, if you do choose to be careful because if you get a defective machine very few if any Xotic PC services are non-refundable, and you are charged for free shipping. I suggest you go to Amazon or some other company that doesn't blame you for a defect.

Anyway, that's my rant/review. Ill update all of you as this return moves forward, thanks for reading. :)

    Hello WutWut,
I am sorry to hear about the screen bleed on the computer. While some light bleed is normal, its typically not seen when you have a color image.

Occasionally computers do arrive with something wrong or unsatisfactory. If you decide to return the computer for a repair (exchange if it can't be repaired) then we do cover shipping for you and you are not charged anything or deducted anything. This would be the case if it were a manufacturers defect or a problem with something we installed or upgraded for you. If you do decide to return it for a refund then we do not cover the shipping costs as you mentioned above.

For the restocking fee you should not be deducted anything as long as its returned in like new condition with all parts accounted for. We do include the information about the 15% incase it is returned damaged that way it is not a surprise to you later on.

When it comes to what is refundable, anything thats hardware you do get a full refund back on. Services unfortunately are not, and we do communicate that the best we can before completing the order.

We are here to help the most we can though. If there are any questions about the RMA process moving forward feel free to contact us.

I am moving this to the MSI forum. This is common practice though. Had you contacted Xotic and run through the RMA process instead of demanding a refund, which really makes it sound more like buyers remorse, you would not have had to eat all those fees.
