i remember seeing some where that you need to remove certain parts of the driver or something, because it installs the wrong one or something weird like that... What exactally happens with those drivers any way?

it will install and works the first time. if you restart it it defaults to the lowest res and only 16bit color. there is no option for anything else.

Do you use the Intel INF Chipset drivers from Intel? If it's a power saving thing I wonder if those can help fix it. I don't have your laptop, just throwing something out there to try and see if it helps.

While I have a MS-1722, my input may help. I've had a ton of strange issues with drivers, but lately I've ironed them out. I currently have 182.08 with modded inf from laptopvideo2go. 182.06 also worked great, but temps were 5-6 C higher. I'd try Dox's optimized drivers over at laptopvideo2go also if you don't want to mess with modded infs. Sleep/hibernate works, no issues with color depth on AC nor battery, and I can even leave powermizer turned on and the GPU clocks go up perfectly in games. Played FEAR 2 last night for a few hours, powermizer on, and framerate was silky smooth. GPU is overclocked to boot, and max temps (monitored with GPU-Z) were 80-81 C.

I've stayed away from the 179 drivers and the older 176 MSI driver since they are slow and outdated. 182.08 is worth a shot.

When updating the video driver, be sure to remove the driver in add/remove programs, reboot, run DriverCleaner pro free version (select nvidia filter), then install new driver. This always works for me in that specific order.

181.22 and 185.20 were buggy for me, I can't recommend them. 182.08 came out 1-2 days ago and works great.
