hi so im looking to buy the msi gt70 or gt60 these are the specs they are basicly the same exsept for the harddrive anyways portability doesnt really matter since ill only be taking it to school ever once in awhile im wondering which one would be a better choice and if theres any faults with either model they are both $1499 canadian also for gaming (like skyrim etc) do you think a 17.3 inch screen would be better or would a 15.6 inch screen be better. hope i get some responses thanks guys :)

If you're not gonna cart it around, definitely go for the 17"!

thanks for the reply but is there a particular reason is the 17.3inch better on the eyes or better for gaming or something like that?

Bigger is better! If you could get a 42" for about the same price as a 32", and they both performed the same and space wasn't an issue, which would you get?

Even though the smaller screen is the same resolution as the 17, it's going to give you a more immersive experience.

    Plus, 10-key.

What about the RAID0 configuration on GT60? I've read that RAID0 (striping) enables faster R/W and thus better performance.

I was flipping back and forth between the GT70 and GT60. Both are excellent systems, but the portability of the GT60 won out. I checked out a lot of 17" systems in the retail shops around here for size and weight. Glad I went with the GT60...I would probably be in the hospital with a hernia with the GT70.

I think that is a bit of an exaggeration on the weight.

I've had college books that weighed much more than a GT70.

I would say 15.6". I think the 17" is a little too big.
