    +1 quick and simple.

Although I do not understand why you chose 6GB of RAM

Thank you so much for this review Link1313. The entire discussions has helped me alot.

I've been battlling between the MSI and the DV 6t-7000 for a while now. But after I saw the MSI vs dv6t discussion which led me to this review, my mind is definitely made up now.

It's gonna be the MSI simply because of the temperature management and better graphics (hence future proof). Oh and I don't care about the backlit as I'm a touch typist :D

    Hi link,

I see that you have installed an ssd as your main drive. I bought the 0ND model with the 64gb ssd but it is no where near big enough to be a boot drive with games installed. Can you tell me how you transferred your windows across? None of my clone programs work with the new GPT formatting(e.g Acronis 2012,13). Did you use a clean install of windows? Windows 7 refuses to install on the GPT drive.

If I obtain a windows 8 dvd will it work if I use the same key as on the preinstalled windows? to activate it? will it work? dont want to go away and buy another copy of windows.

    Cheers,
    Tim

Ok, so i've got this laptop and it works great. The only problem is that sometimes in games they will freeze for a few seconds and then resume play. I've been monitoring the GPU usage when the drops happen and they go from whatever percent they are currently at down to 0%. I was wondering if anyone else with this laptop has experienced this type of problem, it makes playing games a pain.

    PC specs are:

    CPU - Core I5 3230m
    GPU - Gt 650m
    RAM - 8GB
    OS - Win 7
