    Not unless you remove the optical drive and install a hard drive caddy there. Then you can install a 2nd internal HDD, but you still won't be able to run the two in RAID due to limitations in the HM55 chipset.

    Can the faceplate on that be swapped out for the one that ships with the system? Anything other than the stock CD/DVD bezel looks quite strange on the GX740. If you don't care about aesthetics, then no problem.

    This works perfectly with the GX740 and allows you to keep the stock faceplate. Installation of the drive within the caddy is a bit fiddly due to the small screws, but if you're careful, you'll be fine. I keep my Kingston SSD boot drive in one of these caddies, and my game/data storage HDD in the standard drive bay.
