Just wondering if this applies to MSI laptops as well.
So anyone that has bought a MSI laptop recently can you check if you can OC your GPU.
Mostly wondering about the GT72 but it applies to all models.
Now I'm not much into OCing but I'm pretty pissed nVidia took away that option just becuase it was there if needed.
EDIT:
Asking from the VBIOS not from drivers just to clear things up.

It's a combo of Maxwell chips and the latest batch of Nvidia drivers, 347.xx. Might be altered in the future.

There is a thread dedicated to this, you can post there.

We will have to wait and see, nvidia could be in for another lawsuit if it affects asus and msi depending on how this situation plays out. Personally i hope nvidia gets landed with another lawsuit. So many things nvidia has started to do that are just so "anti-consumer enjoyment" and they need to be taught a lesson. A very very hard lesson.

They were the one that promoted overclocking but ever since they beat AMD up so bad they started being "conservative".
However, they are still the best nevertheless.nightingale likes this. -

Let's hope that AMD bring a decent 100W capable GPU again
The 7970M was a very strong contender on launch after all.

I know, it's not great but now without the driver lock enthusiasts are still ok for now.
