good morning gentlemen! I ordered and received a GT780DXR new from Mobile Advance Inc through amazon, the problem the system came with warranty sticker that is already tampered and torn to pieces and they put it back together! unfortunately I can't return it as I am outside US right now so sending back the laptop would cost me no less than $500! i'm coming back to US in april and now I want to know since I heard that MSI would still honor the warranty with the damaged stickers!
so, is the warranty is so dependent on the stickers in US?
EDIT: I did NOT request any upgrades, so all parts are stock!

Shoot an email to the supplier, get an official response stated that they as an authorised dealer broke the seal.

I'd be more worried about if the seller tampered with any of the parts. You should make sure that you have all the right parts.
MSI will honor warranties with damaged stickers as long as it was opened in a professional manner. You're allowed to do cleaning and upgrade parts as long as you don't damage anything in the process. -
already shot him twice! I'm waiting for his second response!
-
honestly I can't think he could do anything except the RAM since the rest of the parts working just fine!
any advice how to know if he did anything? -
Which sticker was broken? The one on the GPU?
Download CPU-Z & GPU-Z and post screenshots. -
the outer sticker that is ripped!
actually I never had the guts to open the cover and see if any kind of stickers inside! so I've had a look in this video!

so what kind of sicker exactly are you taking about?
the one with parcode?
and, the screen shot will be uploaded shortly! -

Hmm, I think there's supposed to be a warranty sticker on one of the screws for the GPU.
The chip/gpu look legitimate, not issues there (ES). -
looks like the seller does not want to ADMIT that he did it! he's now ignoring my emails! it is DEFINITELY was his fault! I'm sure he did something with my system as the dirt 3 coupon was also missing!
I guess it's time to start the action and file a claim!
at least thats a relief! it remain unknown what he did to my system, my biggest fear now that the card is refurbished and done a reflow to the GPU! although I can't be sure until next 3 months! -
Mine has that same sticker at the same place. Its weird that there is none on the cpu though.
-
I guess I'll start to shoot emails to MSI about it!
shall I open mine? since it's already opened and find out about it? -

For the barebone the warranty label is enforced by your reseller. For the MSI branded models the warranty label is enforced by the manufacture. -
and what if I never found the sticker on the GPU? does this insure that he did it?
new system came with warranty sticker tampered! what to do?
