    Good morning fellows
i've lots of problems with my ms-1761 from deviltech (they call it fragbook gtx)
I can't install windows 7 64bits in ide or ahci mode; the only way is in raid; and i can't change that after the installation with the regedit technic.
in raid mode i've intempestive bsod
    my bios is e1761IG6.30e
Should i be in e1761IG6.10e as i noticed the 30e was for raid and 10e for non raid

    Thanks to you all

It doesn't matter whether 10E or 30E.The only difference is there's no raid option in the 10 only in the 30.

New barebones 1761 bios are gotten from the reseller, not from MSI website.

I think E1761IG6.30H is the newest bios.

How many drives in the notebook 1 or 2.

If you have 2,try removing 1.Leave in only the drive you want to install Windows 7 on.

Looking into the bottom of the unit with the cover removed find the black and red wires near the fan. When removed it resets the bios.

Take out the battery, disconnect the AC power cord and disconnect the red and black wire connection to the motherboard for about 1 minute.

Put the battery back in,connect the AC adapter cord and bootup.Press the Del key at the 1st screen to enter the bios.

Reset your date/time,AHCI,boot order etc save and restart.

Now with only the 1 drive in the notebook that you want to install windows on press f11key to choose the Windows 7 x64 installation media.

See this post for help installing Windows 7 x64.

    Many thanks for your answer,
i've just try it twice but i have a 0x80070570 error.
Some says it's a problem with the ram, but i change it in many config and nothing change.
i spent one month on this problem either with a classic hdd or a vertex3, with just one drive on bus 0 of course and still the same error.
maybe i'll try to install it in raid 0 if there is really no solution in ahci, i've got an agility3 to complete the vertex3, both are 120go

Well if you have an idea ...

    Ram error?

    How much ram?16GB 4GB x 4?

If you have 2 modules under the keyboard and 2 modules in the bottom try removing the 2 in the bottom and see if that works.

If it works and you can successfully install Windows in AHCI mode then you probably can add the ram back in after Windows installation.
