I've been trying to get rid of Nahimic for a long time but i can't find the generic Realtek Audio drivers that have no Nahimic DLLs in the package.
Does anyone know where can i find them? Nahimic is cancer and the fact that 6th cpu gen laptops got wiped from Nahimic 3 support is simply ridiculous. I wanna remove this crap.

Try one of the links here: https://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/5993-latest-realtek-hd-audio-driver-version.html
If you download one of the .cab files, you'll need to follow a specific set of instructions to get that installed. Personally, I use the generic Microsoft audio driver because it has fewer issues than the Realtek one. I block installation of the Realtek driver from Windows Update via Group Policy Editor.macmyc and Dennismungai like this. -
Thanks, i'll check it out later. The reason why i want realtek drivers is because i can at least adjust the EQ for the speakers and the earbuds i use on the panel.

Nahmic 3 is vastly inferior to Nahimic 2. Install Nahimic 2 and edit the config files for the best sound.
-
Which config files are you talking about? Equalizer?

Enjoy!
This is the only sound processing software that allows this and it's extremely powerful. Sadly nahmic 3 got gimped, it's as poop as XFI MB 5. So I'm happy that it isn't getting supported because nobody should ever use that instead of nahimic 2macmyc likes this. -
Thank you! I was not aware of this guide even though i browsed that forum many times in the past. Will check it out and see if i can make this garbage acceptable for the CPU usage it requires while i'm gaming.

actually the Creative X-FI MB5 software is not used on any MSI gaming motherboards or laptops because MSI never licensed it (but X-FI MB5 worked so well on several Gigabyte boards, Clevo gaming laptops & Acer Predator G6 computers). MSI only had Creative Sound Blaster Cinema (versions 1 and 2) for several older MSI laptops (for an MSI GE70 2PL Apache laptop) and X-FI MB3 for an MSI Z87 XPower motherboard.
just use any latest FF00 Realtek HD audio driver package from here. avoid using the FF03 version, which has the Nahimic DLL files.macmyc likes this. -

You can get away with Windows High Definition Audio drivers and Equalizer APO/Peace GUI (free). No need for nahimic/realtek

yes you can, and have audio that sound like it's coming from a Radio from 1984
-
You might have tinnitus

No I'm just not a muppet to be using generic Windows drivers that lack any OEM specific customizations to the audio chipset. -
Yeah ok, 1984 radio
better instantly bash on reasonable alternatives

Also voicemeeter banana has a nice very adjustable equilizer.
Other than that - is it possible to run Nahimic 2 on newer hardware ? Like GS65 8SE? -
