Hey![]()
I have an Asus UX32VD and the crappy Intel 6235 Wireless card. I am experiencing speed issues thus I bought a Killer 1202 Wireless Card.
The card works fine but I have problems attaching the antenna to the new card.
As you might know, the 6235 card uses small (presumably newer) connectors while the Killer card, uses the old a bit larger ones. The picture below shows both of the cards side by side:

My existing wifi antenna won't connect to this card![]()
I would try to solder them but I am away from home and all my equipment and I need to get this card working ASAP (I still have 12 days to return this card if I can't get it to work)
What are my options?
I was thinking about ordering a laptop WiFi antenna from ebay but there are two problems: First, I have no idea what these connectors/clips are called and how these two connectors are distinguished and second, how should I know the new one that I order actually fits the Killer card?
If I could get my hands on one of the compatible antennas, I would just cut the wire and tie them together with some electrical tape, this would work fine for my purposes.
Thank you very much in advance as I am disparately in need of help.

I think I am going to send the card back

Intel uses standard U.FL connectors.
According to specs Killer should use the same type of connector but it looks like e.fl connector to me.
It's very hard to judge accurately from a photo- regardless how detailed it is. -
Hey mate, I'm also in the same boat. I purchased the Intel 6300 and turns out the plugs are too big.
Below is a picture of the two.

There has to be a WiFi card out there that has the same plug type. Anyone know what the plug type is? I searched the net and couldn't find much..

Any ideas guys?

Just find some handy info. Looks like it's a m.fl (MHF4) connector
