Interesting, hopefully it's more than just a rubber stamp.
Never mind, looks to be more of a partnership for AMD laptops starting 2022?Vasudev and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -

Probably due to the Intel AX210 having spotty-at-best support on AMD platforms.Vasudev likes this. -
I hadnt picked up on that detail but its good to know thanks for sharing.
I dont recall using MediaTek for WLAN cards in recent memory, mostly Intel modules. Are they a new player to WLAN or probably just coincidence that I never seen their products in that respect? -
They have manufactured their own radio chips for years but that ended up mostly in routers and similar equipment or in USB Wi-Fi cards.
MediaTek is also a manufacturer that does pretty well with providing opensource so MediaTek routers are in large part supported by OpenWRT and DD-WRT.
All in all that is indeed a good news.Vasudev, Reciever and saturnotaku like this. -

MediaTek has been around for a while. In addition to wireless chipsets, they also produce SOCs for low-cost tablets and Chromebooks.
