Anybody using MPTs and the integrated Bluetooth on an Acer Ferrari?
I had it up and running, did an upgrade of MPTs and now it does not work. I have MPT running on my PC with a D-Link USB Bluetooth adaptor. This was a little tricky itself, but it seems stable. I have not tried an update on the PC (running 3.1x or something). The phone is a V551.

I don't have the models you are working with, but can you at least get them to pair?

No really. When I set it up on my PC, I could transfer files without MPT. The phone and PC were linked. Still works too without MPTs. My laptop is a different animal. But I had it working with MPT. This is strange to me. I think the problem is with the BT radio in the laptop, but this is not obvious since the phone did link at one time (using MPT). I also did not use the XP w/SP2 procedure like on my PC, but it would not work. I was hoping to find someone who had a Ferrari who has gotten MPT to work. I don't think the phone will matter too much. I can get the laptop to find the phone, but with dial-up service only.

The problem was with the Bluetooth driver and SP2. I finally figured out that I needed to get rid of the XP driver. There seems to be several ways to do this. The Motorola help says to disable th MS driver and load the device driver manually. My BT was built in, so I had no driver software I could identify (like a floppy or CD that says BT driver, like you would get with a dongle). So I followed some other advice and renamed the Windows Bth.inf to Bth.bak and reinstalled the BT hardware. This enables the lower priority CRS driver to be loaded. I them reinstalled the WIDCOMM software (from Acer support Web site), and I can now bond with all services. My next step is to install MPTs, and see how that works.
