    Hi I am buying a laptop taday and really need some help. I dont have a land line so I am going to buy one of them modems from the phone shop which will allow me to surf the internet wireless. Will this work on this model laptop. Please advise. The other thing I should mention is that this laptop has a built in modem. Thanks. C....

    no land line. so your only option is using a mobile or the mobile phone network for your internet access.
    this can cost a lot or with T mobile £1 a day but its dam slow 117kbs which is just ok not good, just ok. :(

    You need to talk to your future ISP, they will most likely give you the modem/router free.
