Does anyone have any info on aircards for laptops and the providers for these cards ? Any details would be appreciated on the cost, plans etc .

ummm Look for EVDO (google) should get a list of carriers and cards - where I am it is expensive - ranges from $25.00/Mo for a 4mb (and a rude charge per extra $12mb ) to $100/Mo unlimited so depends what you use it for (carefull of those Email attachements for sure
)

I think Verizon has one. I have a pocket pc/phone from them that uses the same technology to get on the web anywhere.

They all have air cards. I've used them all and Verizon is without a doubt the best thing going. It's not cheap though, $80/month or $60/month is you have a phone with them. TMo is cheaper, but their speeds are nothing by comparison. Check to make sure you're in Verizon's EVDO area first.

Verizon's are good to what I have heard...dont know about the price though, sorry!

I would try to go with the Verizon if possible. Last i checked, in a good area, you can get 2Mbps, with about $60 a month. But remember you have to pay for the near $200 card for your laptop.

That would be my advice. I have the $60 plan, but that cost is because I already had a cellular phone with Verizon.
