I am planning to throw away all the old CD, DVD disc and eliminating hard drives while making the backup of the files to Amazon cloud drive.
I am having 100MB broadband connection which is very fast so I don't even want to use physical drives
Amazon's 59.99 for one-year unlimited storage looks like a good deal to me, compared to the expensive Google Drive.
Anyone used it before? Any advice? What is the max upload/download speed?
I even want to use it to replace my physical hard drives. When I need any files, I download from it.

Do you have a 100 mbps symmetrical broadband connection though? I assume that is your download speed but you might be severely limited by your upload speed if your connection is not a symmetrical one and you have enough to upload (especially if it's on regular basis as backups should be)

symmetrical broadband connection???
How do I know if I have it or not -
Take a speedtest - symmetrical means download and upload speeds are the same. I doubt you have this sort of connection since most connections are not symmetrical.

However... cloud storage's speed depends on the slowest portion on the network.
We have symmetrical GigE at work, and I still can't upload any faster than 7MB/s to AWS.
Amazon cloud drive, is it good?
