Hello, I would like to get the Atheros AR5006EXS for my S96j.
http://www.atheros.com/pt/AR5006EXS.htm
Is there any way to buy this online in the US besides e-bay? The wireless cards in the S96j are not just mini-pci, they are mini-pci express which are a different shape and configuration.
Thanks!

Very cool! Thanks!
Are you sure it is the Atheros AR5006EXS? How do you know? -
I'll offer you a deal...
I have one of those IBM cards 40y7026 Atheros mini pci-express.
I cannot get the card to work in my Dell e1405.
If you want to I can sell it to you (paypal verified) and if it doesn't work for you, you can just return it to me with no problem.
I pay for shipping there, you pay for shipping it back.
What do you think!
Also,

This company will sell you a card if you call them. They don't accept returns and all sales are final. No support either.
I believe it costs around $70. -
Check this out.

I just wanted to clarify that the AR5006EX is NOT the same thing as the AR5006EXS. The AR5006EXS is the 108Mb/s version whereas the AR5006EX is the 54MB/s version. Unfortunately, no one is selling AR5006EXS-based cards yet.
Be careful with ordering the 40y7026 card from Lenovo (using the link that amuraivel posted). It is not compatible with a lot of non-Lenovo notebooks.
You can order the AR5006EX card from pcdglobal.com by emailing them at [email protected] (there is no online order form). Ask for part #WLL4080PCIX. They will charge you $65 plus $5 shipping.
Or join the group buy posted above.
It's kind of a hassle to buy this card, but it's WELL worth it. I get much better reception with the atheros card than I ever did with my old intel 3945.
Good luck!

What about the card that is branded "gigabyte"?
They advertise it as a 108mbps card.
Any place to get the Atheros AR5006EXS in the US besides ebay?
