Eye-Fi memory cards: wireless photo & video uploads straight from your camera to your computer & the web.

So, they must convince the market to buy their WiFi-enabled SD card and install and use their USB memory card reader and the Eye-Fi Center Software... before consumers upgrade to WiFi-enabled cameras. That's a pretty short-term Apple business model. Good luck to 'em.

The Future of Photography,, It would work for Photographers on site photos, in Real Estate Appraisal,-Construction % of completion payments-proof, ect.,send thru applicable device anywhere in the world wifi service is up and running...lol It does appear they are duplicating android ect devices for sd cameras somewhat , However SLR's and point and shoot cameras have better details-better clarity. Next wifi card will have satellite service capabilities,,,lol.

for certian situations it could be great... for example a person in a photoshoot can have all the pictures on the computer by the time shes done taking 5-600 pictures...
they also have a android app coming out very soon that acts like the server so pictures would be transfered to a tablet/phone... useful if you want to share pictures of your vacation/outdoors trip/whatever on the go -
Shooting at large sporting events I've used various wifi adapters including the EyeFi stuff.
Very handy being able to set a remote camera up and just have it's images sent to a central laptop.
Have also co-located a laptop with the remote camera and RDP'd into the laptop to control the camera remotely (Nikon and Canon have some very nice software for this).
Think of hockey and basketball games with cameras locked in place above the goals shooting down. -

You don't need to use our reader. It is not a receiver. We just give you the reader, in case you don't already have one. Not every computer has a built-in reader, so we just want you to have a good out-of-box experience. But it's just a USB to SD card reader, and has no drivers, or special software involved.
All the software comes pre-installed on the card, and if you end up formatting the card, you can get the software from our site.
On Wi-Fi enabled cameras, you're also incorrect. There are a handful of cameras that do Wi-Fi on their own, and, please count, how many have added Eye-Fi Connected software to their cameras:
Those are Eye-Fi Connected models. Of course, Eye-Fi Cards also work on most other SD/SDHC models
In terms of the business model -- again, please do more homework, and look at all the services and free features that we offer, and what we keep offering, for free, or for pay, to existing customers.
Thanks --

Actually, take a look at our latest Eye-Fi Direct announcement. People can shoot with their camera phones, or they can shoot with their favorite P&S's or DSLR's. Either way -- they'll have the same experience of instantly sharing their photos and videos, to their favorite sharing site, and to their PC back home. They can be anywhere, and shoot and upload in real-time. Further, if you shoot with your camera phone, and have the Eye-Fi app installed on your iOS or Android device -- the app could upload those photos and videos as well.

Sorry, given the user reviews on the Net, I'll skip it.

We certainly can't please everyone, but for every negative review, I will show you many other positive reviews. -
We all understand reviews. What I like about user reviews is that they relate how things actually work. A 'positive' review can put you off a product just as much and sometimes more than a 'negative' review. It all depends on what the user wants from the product, or what they are willing to tolerate to use a product vs. some other solution.

Well said.
Feel free to ping me any time, with specific questions or concerns, and I'll address them directly. We're not perfect, but if you look at the bottom left corner of the corp web site, you'll see that we've uploaded 170MM photos and videos from Eye-Fi Cards, so there are "a few" happy customers
Thx,
Ziv.
Anyone use EYE-Fi ?
