Does anyone have any experience using the Belkin Easy Transfer Cable for a system migration? I'm preparing to return a laptop that I've had for a week or so, but I transferred a lot of files over before I realized that I didn't like it! Stupid move, I know!
Anyway, I have a new laptop due to arrive later this week, but I've got to do something with the files on the one being returned. I'd like to just copy everything that I can from it to my desktop. Then, my desktop will have a copy and I can transfer back to my new laptop when it gets here.
So, my first question- is the Belkin Easy Transfer Cable the easiest way to go? If not, what are the alternatives in the same price range?
The next question- will it work from one Vista pc to another Vista pc? Both laptops and my desktop all have Vista Home Premium.
***Another potential issue- the laptop I'm transferring FROM is running Vista Home Premium 64-bit and the destination (desktop) is 32-bit.....ugh!
Any help would be so appreciated!!!![]()

Use the DVD burner, then you have a backup too.
