Best wifi/bluetoth card for my ASUS K52F ?

My wifi card that came with my ASUS K52F was okay but i wanted one with bluetooth so bought one from ebay china for £4 - Intel 1030 Wireless N 300Mbps

Being in a 3 story property, with the modem on the bottom floor, the signal is even poorer than with the asus card,

so i remember before buying the iintel 1030 i was gonna get the higher spec one, i dont remember the model number but i remember it was dual band 6230 i think,
but this time i will buy from a UK seller


So is the 6230 card the best choice to improve both wifi and bluetooth capabilities in my asus A52F?
Or does anyone know of a better wifi card with bluetooth?

Intel 6230 should be OK unless you are one of those who end up suffering from extremely low throughput (something apparently driver-related but not addressed by Intel).
Also keep in mind that cards that are meant for Lenovo aren't gonna work so avoid those.

Which is a better, faster, bigger range card:

the 6230 or 6235?

 

There is no difference in regards to range or speed between the two.

 

So what is the difference between them?

The 6230 costs £17 but the 6235 costs £27

 

6235 is the new version of the 6230. Difference is 6235 has Bluetooth 4.0 (6230 has 3.0) and Wifi Direct.

Also look into the Killer wireless 1202. It is substantially faster, but cost a bit more.

as i only use the bluetooth for syncing the laptop with my wireless bluetooth headphones for audio playback, would there be any difference between 3.0 and 4.0
i never transfer data via bluetooth so the speed of transerring data wouldnt matter, but syncing audio does if its affected

what is this wifi direct, is it better ibn anyway to the 6230?

 

In my opinion 6235 is not worth an additional £10 and for the purposes you would be using the card there will be no noticeable difference.
