I just moved into my new apartment. We should be capable of speeds of about 6-8 megabytes per second (50mbps). One of my roommates is using the Intel Ultimate 6300 card and gets these expected speeds and the other one is using an ethernet cable and gets similar results.
I'm using the Bigfoot 1102 card on my W110ER and can barely break one megabyte per second downloading from Steam/Origin. I tested my roommate's computer in the same areas doing the same activities and the tests are consistent: he gets 6-8 megabytes per second and I only get around 1-2.
Is this a driver issue .. ? I expected this card to do much better.

What speed are you connected to the router/AP according to Windows?

Here's a screenshot of the network status window. On my other computer, the "Speed" listing is just 65 mbps as opposed to the 300 mbps on the Bigfoot computer, but it gets 4 megabytes per second.

Check what speed would you get on a LAN with Bigfoot- download something from a shared folder on a wired machine or from a NAS.
Do you use their drivers and software or those from Atheros? -
Well that's embarrassing. I just reinstalled drivers from the Bigfoot website and everything is fine now. I should have done that from the start. Thanks downloads!
