Is there a way to connect to multiple wireless sources at the same time? I remember a few years back I saw a fancy router which could merge two wired connections into one faster one by distributing the load across both lines. Is there a way to do the same thing with wireless networks (assuming there are several networks available which are based off of different sources). Just to be clear, I am not talking about putting up several wireless routers connected to the same source.

Do you mean multiple networks, each broadcasting a wireless signal, or one network broadcasting a wireless signal from multiple locations?

Several networks, each broadcasting a wireless signal. I saw Microsoft prototyping some kind of technology like this to allow for more stable wireless signals while driving.

Not with just the single wireless NIC that every notebook comes with. You'd need to have as many NICs as networks you wanted to connect to, and then you'd have to have the software to integrate those NICs and do something useful with their output.
Just trying to hop networks with a single NIC would be very, very cumbersome because you'd have to negotiate the connection each time, thereby causing lag.
