On my e6400, any time I wake it from sleep, I can't browse. I am connected to my wireless router (this has happened with 3 different networks) and it is listed as "local and internet". I am able to ping, but can't browse. When I try and diagnose and repair, I get: "www.microsoft.com" is not set up to establish a connection on port "World Wide Web service (HTTP)" with this computer". I Googled it and saw that some people have trouble with Norton being installed but I don't have it. I do have ZoneAlarm though. Any advice? I have to completely restart to remedy it.

Have you tried disabling/removing Zone Alarm?
-
No as I'd rather not lose my firewall. What would ZoneAlarm be doing do you think?
-
Go to Device Manager > Network Adapters > (Your Wireless Card) > Right Click: Properties > Uncheck Option(s).
And make sure you have the newest drivers from the WiFi Cards's manufacturer website.
That should fix the problem.
-
What is the "uncheck options(s)" in your post?
-
I'm downloading the updated drivers now.
-
The Options that are in The Device Manager Power Managemnt Properties for your Wireless card.
They should be something like, Allow Device to Wake computer from sleep, or turn off this device to save power, etc. Just uncheck both of them.

This problem is still occurring. Any advice

Disable/remove ZoneAlarm. Windows does have a built in firewall, and if you have a router, then you are behind a hardware firewall. If the problem stops, you need to either check out a ZoneAlarm forum or contact ZoneAlarm for assistance, because you'll know there's an issue with ZA and your operating system/hardware.

It did it even with ZA disabled and my windows firewall is off. I never had this problems on any of my other computers.

Has this always been a problem, or is this something relatively new? Have you checked the Dell forum (on this site and the actual Dell forum) to see if others have the same issue when resuming from sleep? Have you done any "tweaking" to the system? Is your BIOS up to date? Are you using the most current drivers available from Dell for your laptop?

Try using and waking to an external monitor.
Here is some sites:

Drivers up to date, bios new, everything updated. This has been an issue since I got the computer. What does the external monitor have to do with it?
Can't browse after sleep
