I have a Linksys 802.11b wireless router. In the past 6 months or so, I have had trouble accessing www.ezboard.com
I can only get there if:
A) I use a proxy
B) I reset the router, but after some time the problem resurfaces
C) If I connect directly into the modem, I can access the website, which leads me to believe the problem resides with the router setup
Some info:
1) I cannot ping the site. I get 'request timed out' error
2) Can't go to site by typing in its IP instead of URL
3) Have tried changing DNS servers but same problem
4) No firewalls are on/installed, all anti-viruses are off and I run spyware utils regularly
5) I have not messed with the router's default settings
6) OS is XP SP2. IE is up to date
How does one troubleshoot an issue like this? Any suggestions/solutions?
I would appreciate any help. Have searched for resolutions but could not find anything conclusive.

Is it just one site or all sites?
Is it possible the website goes down for maint. at certain times during the day/night? -
No, just one site and no, I can never access the site; definitely not a maintenance issue.

I found this, perhaps it will help:

Try a firm-ware update on the router. Go to the site and get the latest software. See if that helps any.

wow, kego, that was an interesting read.
I actually updated the firmware last night and it's working fine right now, but I do remember changing that 'blocking requests' option at one point. Much appreciated.
Where did you find that post?
Can't reach a URL unless I reset wireless router...
