Hey everyone, I was hoping you guys could help me shed some light on a small issue I'm having. There is a small business network consisting of two computers, one running Win7 and another Win XP Pro SP2. They are connected the Internet via a Linksys router which is connected to a D-Link Router which gets cable Internet via a cable modem from Comcast (It's a home office, so one router is for the house, the other is for the office which are in separate areas). Both routers have their firewalls disabled, as well as both computers and A/V protection during troubleshooting. However, the issue still appears to occur. I even changed the DNS servers on the D-Link Router to Google's. No fix.
There is still one particular website I cannot access from this network, I get a "page could not load error" and pinging the website via the command prompt results in it timing out on BOTH computers. Funny thing is, using an external computer NOT on this network allows immediate access to the website. I've tried rebooting the routers and reviewing settings but I have NOT rebooted the cable modem. Before this occurred I was trying to setup email access for this network off the server the website it located on, I think I entered the wrong username/password combination multiple times. After that the website was no longer accessible from the network. My guess is some kind of server security featured blocked the network or IP address from any further attempts to contact it. Does anyone have any idea if this could be the case or could there be something else going on? If so, any ideas on how I may go about fixing it? Thanks!

Can you connect directly to the modem and check from there.
If you bypass both routers and still can't access the website in question while directly connected to the modem that rules out your network as a root of the problem. -

I will try that the next time I get the chance. Do you know if Comcast gives out static IP addresses by default?

Very weird issue here; It sounds strange that a website would block an IP Address completely from even viewing the website, but it seems this may just be the case.
Once you're not using any special firewall hardware (which doesn't seem to be the case) you should have full internet access with nothing blocking.
It seems weird a site would go to that extreme though. Nevertheless, you can check your current IP Address by going to say Speakeasy - Speed Test and then reboot the Cable Modem by unplugging the power and replugging.
If it's Dynamic you should get a diff. IP Address upon boot up of the Modem. Refresh the Speakeasy site to see. If anything, depending on the ISP I guess you can check after a day or so as well to see if the IP is the same.
If it's Dynamic and you're still unable to access the site then something is wrong. Because I refuse to believe a site would block a 'block' of IPs.
Do you have any VPN software to have your Public IP changed completely to test? Such as HMA VPN.
Sorry I couldn't be of much assistance but this seems to be a weird one indeed. Especially with BOTH computers having the issue.
