OKay so I e-mailed to guy from the collegial programm I'll be attending in 2 years to know if there was some hardware specifications for a bought-oustsideo of the school laptop (I want that C90S!!!!) and the guy told me that the Wireless Card must support 802.11 b/g with WEP key (well, the standard) AND Cisco's LEAP thingy. If I does not, I'll need to buy an external $50 wireless card![]()

My question is: What the hell is LEAP and can it be used with a card other than cisco?& (like Intel's WLAN card....)
-
LEAP is mainly about dynamic changing of WEP keys and authentication in an effort to make the WEP less unsecure. That is if 20 seconds is a long time
For example new Santa Rosa Intel 4965AGN works with Cisco Compatible Extensions just like most cards these days. -
OKay,
I read about it, to put it simple, it's some useless "security" thing that is just crap and that all college/universities are using and that is not supported anymore and there is no vista driverrs? -
ive been looking for vista drivers, but could not .. i need it too :[
Cisco's LEAP....
