What is the best card to replace the Dell b/g card? Looking to upgrade to N.
Prefer an Intel card over Dell.
Thanks

I would say intel 6200/6300 if you only need wi-fi, there are other models that support WiMax (like the 6230). Note that the 6300 can use 3 antennas for up to 450mbps. If you use only two it will behave like a 6200 with speeds at 300mbps, you can always add a third antenna later though.
Those also support 5GHz networks if your router is 5GHz capable of course. 5GHz is great if you are getting interference from other 2.4GHz equipment.
I'm assuming that the card you're going to replace is half-height. -

No you will not be able to use the 6x00 series Intel WLAN adapters as they are all half height as the D420 only supports full height. Your best bets without spending a fortune would be the 4965AGN or 5300 full height if you can find one.

Do you know if the D620 is full or half? -

You can get a bracket for ~$5 on ebay if your antenna wires are long enough: http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_from=R...=intel+6200+bracket&_sacat=See-All-Categories. This will allow you to install a half-height card as if it were a full height.
That's how i got a 6200 to fit in my N50.
