Is there going to be a difference in the internet speed if I use the cat 6 cable instead of the cat5e??

can someone explain this in an easier way, why it doesn't improve the speed???

Well, you're asking about internet speed and both the Cat 5e and the Cat 6 standards provide more throughput than your internet can usually provide (unless you have a 100Mbps connection in which case you're one lucky bastard
). The Cat 5e and the Cat 6 will have more impact with LAN applications and in most domestic cases, streaming content over a home network. What will affect your internet speed, on your end of the matters at least, is your system settings. Incorrectly configured network settings will cut down on your internet speed.

CAT5e = 100 Mbps
CAT6 = 1000 Mbps
Cable internet = 1 - 6 Mbps -
