You can't really, legally of course, since they blocked ports for a good reason.
You will have to manually find an open port, and even then there are a huge amount. As well, you risk getting your internet canceled if you do try and BT, which isn't worth it. -
Worse, I've read on other tech forums that students were expelled.

Uhh, depends on the AUP of your school. What I used to do was log into my friend's Linux box via SSH, use screen and the command line BitTorrent and download stuff, and then grab it from his FTP later.

Well that way you're technically not using the university's internet connection to download illegal material, just transfer data from place to place. As ssh is encrypted, there is no (easy/legal) way for them to tell what you are transferring.
SSH is a great way to go about keeping things private, but for that use it's probably not ethical. (not to get on my high horse
, not one to judge)
My roommate recently got an email about using BT to download a movie. They can/are watching. At least where I attend, they don't care so much that you are downloading illegally, simply that you are using their network resources to do so. They have to cover their behinds. Something to do with the DCMA

Well, I'm using port 80 right now. Only getting 10 kbs atm.

Well, not everything you can download using BT is illegal. WoW patches are distributed via BT...
I want to BT at school!
