Hello Guys I just received and replaced Intel Wi-Fi link 5300 and there are three ports for connection TR1 TR2 TR3
Can somebody tell me what does it mean and what is difference ??
I had previously Wi-Fi link 5100 and there was TR1 and TR2 only and I have only two cables one black in TR1 and one White TR2 and TR3 is empty
Is it allright ? or not?
Should I connect rather TR3 ?
Thnx

Intel 5300 has 3 antennas for 3 spatial connection..
if you connect all 3 and supported connection/router, you can get max 450Mbps
(each 150Mbps). If you only connect 2 antennas the max is 300Mbps.
And I believe it's white cable on TR1 and black on TR2
(although it doesn't matter if the antenna heads --the ones inside your LCD bezel-- are the same) -
Hi
Just spoke with seller he said :
black(tr2) = aux
grey(tr1) = main
white(tr3) = mimo
I have black tr2 and grey tr3 and tr1 off need to buy white cable ...
And yes I just checked service manual and all antenas are on top behind display ... -
Just ordered third antenna and will open display connect it behind ...
now I have to buy some PROPER ROUTER (netgear is best ?) with max transfer 500MB/s

I want to get the 5300 too, which seller did you use?
