Hello, just a quick question to all the experts here, anyone know of any problems putting an Intel wireless card in a AMD platform laptop.
Gateway nv75s03h. Want to add dual band. Currently have a
ar5b97 that works fine in 2.4. Thinking of Intel 6235 to keep my bluetooth working.
Thanks

That is good question, I have similar concern too. Thinking to replace my Dell laptop with HP, but pull the Dell brand Bluetooth wireless adapter and add into the HP. Will that work?

It works as long as it pass the white list, but it does have some problem.
My HP dv6z will get random BSOD due to wifi driver.
I have put it in the k53TA for a few days, not sure if it will get BSOD, but it doesnt do clean restart.
I would suggest getting the AR9382(AR5BHB116) or AR9380 instead.(generic card using the killer wireless chipset) Dual band and signal wise , should be on par with the intel.
Atom: it is a different problem, which machine you getting? It depends on the whitelist. -
My understanding there is no white list in Gateway, would be fine with AR9382 or Ar9380 but up here in Canada they are difficult to find if not impossible. Thus why I asked about the Intel's, those I can find.

serach AR5BHB116, plenty ship worldwide from china or US. No bluetooth though, only BT card with dual band is the killer 1202 iirc (which is pretty expensive).
I can't say it will definitely problem-less, but they works.
