Hello,
I have a 400mb per month internet download limit. All of the sudden in the last few days my download usage has skyrocketed. Just today my new monthly period has started and within 25 minutes of Internet time I used up 225mb of my download limit, and this was just a little bit of online newspapers. Normally this viewing only uses a couple of mb.
My windows updates have been turned off as well as the asus updates. I'm not sure if there is something else updating behind the scene? I have not installed any program's on this computer - it is pretty much the same as a brand new out of the box computer, plus it is only 6 months old.
I connect to the internet net via a USB stick.
At this rate I will use up my whole monthly limit within 2 days.
Is anyone able to help me work out what is chewing up my downloads.
Pease HELP.
Thanks.

Assuming you're on Windows 8, set the connection as a metered connection and see if that helps.
