I was recently given a couple of Gobook III laptops, and was wondering if it is possible to install an internal wifi card? Searching the net I can find information on the Gobook XR1 but not on the Gobook III. I realize that pcmcia cards can be used, but I have a couple of EnGenius EMP-8602 PLUS-S cards that I am hoping to use. I have removed some of the readily accessible panels and where the memory is located is easy to find, but so far nothing which is obviously for a wifi card. Any information one way or the other would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
cheers, Paul

From what I've found it looks like there is a mini-PCI next to RAM slots. Notebook came as standard with Intel PRO/Wireless 2200 BG in there.

Duh. . . absolutely right. Didn't realize what I was looking at. Have the card installed, and recognized by the operating system. Now I am going to have to figure out antennas. There is an external whip, and what looks like a large coaxial connector near the pcmcia slot, but no connectors which will match those found on the card. Any references you can point me to as to how to add antennas to this thing?
Really appreciate the help.

This might be helpful.

No might about it. Thanks very much. Looks like the original connectors have been removed from my unit so will have to look for replacements. Any suggestions as to a good source?

Is there some way of gaining access to the whole manual?

I don't know. That's all I found while researching your question.
