There are words to describe this but oddly enough all are covered by the word-filter.
So welcome to "why my Android device/Windows 7/Windows 8.1 isn't getting any fix for this".
Damn...jaug1337, Starlight5 and bennni like this. -
My Chinese Android phone will never get a fix for this - that's a guaranteed certainty. Luckily, OpenVPN works quite well, easily and it's already set up on my phone - will just remember to enable to enable it if I'm doing anything by WiFi beyond updating apps etc...

Microsoft patched it in Win10 last week. Use cellular data on Android until a patch is available (buy a Pixel). Your router is probably not affected in AP mode.

I'll leave this here: http://www.kb.cert.org/vuls/byvendor?searchview&Query=FIELD+Reference=228519&SearchOrder=4
List of affected router manufacturers, some have already patched the vulnerability.
Time to look for a new router, heard good things about microtik and apparently they're not affected, so I might go for that and set my current modem/router to modem mode only and disable the wifi entirely.downloads likes this. -
Welp. This only affects.. every wifi capable device and router in existence for the last 15 years or so.

What if you use dd wrt firmware on you're router...I'm guessing they will releasing a slew of new firmware to cover this exploit? Or maybe not?
