So I recently bought and finally received the killer 1103 network card and have been going nuts with this card. The intel 6300 I had, had 3 clearly indicated wireless bands with 1, 3, and 2. However when I went to install the killer 1103s it showed 0, 1, and 2 (in that order). The notebook cables themselves have wires written 1,2 and 3 only and I might be technologically challenged but shouldn't the wires match up 0-1, 1-2, and 2-3? The notebook keeps telling me the driver (which has been reinstalled multiple times with different versions might be the problem and that the network card hasn't been installed properly.
Please any help would be appreciated.

IRIS, are the cables on your sager color coded? They are on the Alienwares
The standard is this:
from left to right as you look at the card with the plugs on top, you should plug:
1: white
2: gray
3: black -
No they aren't colour coded and every time I google up killer 1103 installation I always see posts about alienware users having theirs colour coded (
.)

i would install it exactly as you had it on the intel wireless...
you had it 1-3-2? then do the same with the 1103 so 1 in 0, 3 in 1, 2 in 2
Try that -
I reformatted my computer because the last time I installed the 6300 it worked by that so its working now, but the problem is that I might want to switch back because the 1103 isnt performing as well as the 6300...
In fact I think the 1103 is slower and alot more unstable then the 6300. -
Don't use BIgFoot software- just stick to Qualcomm/Atheros drivers.
-
What do you mean?
I actulally HATE the bigfoot manager that came with the driver no idea how to use it and took me 30 minutes to configure it because it bottlenecked my network because I didn't set the speeds?
Could you link me with the drivers by anychance? -
The bigfoot card hardware isn't made by bigfoot. If i recall correctly it is an Atheros chip. Use the Atheros drivers instead of the Bigfoot software and the card will work. I've seen people reporting the card performing better without the bigfoot software which is extremely ironic considering that the software is what's supposed to give the lower latencies and extra performance.

I'm at the site and there are numerous drivers, any specific ones?

There shouldn't be a difference with the 3 antennas, the color codes are there as a piece of mind for your installation.
In reality each are just 1 of the 3 that are connected behind the screen.
There should be no differences connecting them in different orders.
